Students' Creative Thinking Skills on Reaction Rate Topic through Contextual Teaching and Learning Model

This research aims to analyze the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) model on students' creative thinking skills reaction rate topic. quantitative used true experimental design of pretest-posttest control. The samples in this study were from 11th grade at SMA Negeri 1 Pinolosian. class sample was given treatment CTL while control conventional learning, respectively, 31 30 students 93 populations. Based a questionnaire, obtained through observation during process. data analysis test instrument carried out validity using product-moment correlation technique (significant level = 0.05), Lilliefors normality test, homogeneity variance ttest. implementation questionnaire converted into percentages categorized. results showed that application had positive effect abilities, evidenced by average score before after increased 14.55 74.84. Otherwise, class, scores 30.59 33.56. percentage achievement aspects good (61%-80%) less (21%-40%). abilities both classes are very different, which is also reflected outcomes. value tcount (2.240) greater than ttable (2.042) significant 0.05, hypothesis H0 rejected, or H1 accepted. positively influenced material. Students' low originality compared fluency, flexibility, elaboration discussed.
